I am New York based Textile Surface Artist/Artist originally born in Saitama Japan. As a little girl, drawing and story telling were big part of my childhood. In 2000, I entered Bunka University in Tokyo Japan where my interests for fashion expanded, culminating in a Bachelor of Arts in fashion sociology and business. Four years of fashion figure drawing class lead to the gradual realization of my passion for creative expression.

After graduation, I worked as a junior instructor for the fashion figure-drawing in Bunka University where I had taken drawing classes. While working at Bunka, I pursued a deeper understanding of myself, my culture and new cultures through travels in Europe, Canada, Indonesia, and America before I moved to New York City in 2006. After returning home to Japan in 2012 to 2013, I now reside in New York as a permanent resident.

The art works featured here are a product of my professional career as a Textile Artist and academic career at the Fashion Institute of Technology New York City, where I gained an Associate in Applied Science degree in Textile/Surface design. I recently completed additional study there in CAD. My devotion for art is uniquely and dramatically transformed into color and movement of motifs. I strive to use design to tell the story of what I see, using color and movement to give it to form.
